Caqrrie Underwood in Thigh High Boots

Carrie Underwood and her thigh high black boots

Even though the temperatures are sizzling and the hot light are blazing, music divas still embrace boots as they command center stage to perform.

From cowboy boots to thigh high boots, boots are in at live concerts.

Singer Carrie Underwood likes her thigh high boots - black, skin tight and shinning in the stage lighting.

Carrie Underwood wore a really tight fitting thigh high boots as she performed at her Twin Lakes concert.

Her outfit captured the excitement of the night and of her music.

Those beautiful blond strands of hair seem to ebb and flow, with the rhythm of her music.

Just love the way Carrie shining silver metallic jacket reflect the multi colored stage lighting.

Those black short, short seem to be a favorite of many musical performing artists on the summer concert tours.

Jessica Simpson on stage in cowboy boots

Jessica Simpson - Daisy Duke look - ripped denim short shorts and cowboy boots

Not only can Carrie Underwood belt out a song, she is also becoming a sexy, fashion trendsetter.

Meanwhile, Jessica Simpson performed in her Daisy Duke style - very short, short cut off denim jeans, big silvery metallic belt, white shirt and of course, those cowboy boots.

Jessica received mixed reactions as she performed at the country Thunder musical festival in Wisconsin, as the crowd undulated between booing and cheering for her.

It's seems even playing a legendary county character Daisy Duke, cannot made you a country singer.

Anyway, we still love the sexy Daisy Duke look - those short, short cut off denim jeans and those cowboy boots.

Just the right combination to turn heads on main street or a concert stage.

Carrie Undersood Photoshoot Interview.

How does Carrie Underwood prepare for her summer concert series?

Well, Carrie perfers lite, airy dresses when she performs on stage, so she doesn't sweat.

But on the weekend she is kinda a shorts and tee shirt girl.

See more of Carrie in the video clip.

Personal Style

Wednesday, July 23, 2008
Style goes beyond just shoes, shirts, pants and jackets. Anything that does not is fashion. Fashion is ephemeral while style is lasting. Whether you’re a toff, dandy, or a dapper dude your personal style is shown in things you possess or do like furniture, house, who you bank with, education, automobile, whatever means of transportation you employ, leisure activities, sports you play… whether you blend in or stand out it doesn’t matter as long as you portray your true self to the world. A man’s personal style is like an open diary about himself to anyone who is conscious enough to notice subtle differences in people’s style. Like a popular saying goes “what you do speaks so loudly I cannot hear what you say” (sic) your personal style is a shining beacon noticed by everyone you come in contact with.

Guard your personal style jealously and I’m not saying do not be influenced by others, but it must be on your own terms not out of fear of ridicule or being different.

Takashi Murakami

Takashi Murakami (村上隆, Murakami Takashi?, born 1 February 1963 in Tokyo, Kantō region), is a prolific contemporary Japanese artist who works in both fine arts media, such as painting, as well as digital and commercial media. He attempts to blur the boundaries between high and low art. He appropriates popular themes from mass media and pop culture, then turns them into thirty-foot sculptures, "Superflat" paintings, or marketable commercial goods such as figurines or phone caddies.
Murakami attended the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, initially studying more traditionalist Japanese art. He pursued a doctorate in Nihonga, a mixture of Western and Eastern styles dating back to the late 19th century. However, due to the mass popularity of anime and manga, Japanese styles of animation and comic graphic stories, Murakami became disillusioned with Nihonga, and became fixated on otaku culture, which he felt was more representative of modern day Japanese life.

In 2008, Takashi Murakami made Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People list, and was the only visual artist.
Unlike Warhol, Murakami also makes his repacked low culture available to all other markets in the form of paintings, sculptures, videos, T-shirts, key chains, mouse pads, plush dolls, cell phone caddies, and $5,000 limited-edition Louis Vuitton handbags. This is a comparable idea to Oldenberg, who sold his own low art, high art pieces in his own store front in the 1960s, but what makes Murakami different is his methods of production, and his work is not in one store front, but many ranging from toy stores, candy aisles, comic book stores, and the French design powerhouse of Louis Vuitton.

Murakami’s work is quoted as being among some of the most desired work in the world by Art News in November 2003. Chicago collector, Stefan Edis reportedly paid a record $567,500 for Murakami’s 1996 Miss Ko2, a life-size fiberglass cartoon figure, at Christie's last May. Christie’s owner, Francois Pinault, reportedly paid around $1.5 million in June to acquire Tongarikun (2003), a 30-foot tall fiberglass sculpture, and four accompanying fiberglass mushroom figures, that were part of an installation at Rockefeller Center. In May 2008, My Lonesome Cowboy (1998), a sculpture of a masturbating boy twirling a semen lasso, sold for $15.2 million at a Sotheby's

Shorts

Shorts are the latest men’s fashion weapon. It attacks with so much fervor that the women folk would have to step back and take a bow. They have been all over during spring and now summer this year. And how short should a man’s shorts be? Pictures on http://www.thesartorialist.com show how men wear their shorts.
Tired of covering up your legs and want to give them some air? Just try shorts. The Europeans love to wear shorts with driving shoes-sock less of course- or dress shoes. While the, Americans prefer to go safe with sneakers. Whatever you decide to rock your shorts with be it deck shoes, driving shoes, sneakers… it’s cool as long as it suits your personal style. It’s all about you!

Wallets

A mans chum, used to carry tiny significant things like money-notes and coins-, Credit and Debit cards, business cards and other form of personal identification. Leather wallets are designed to hold little cash not stashed with a lot of bills or paper like some people do to give an impression that they got money in their pockets. It is advised that you do not sit on your wallet, put it in the side or breast pockets better still in your suit pocket or Manbag.

it is best to invest a considerable amount to buy a good leather wallet cos as with all leather goods they age gracefully and tend to look better as they get older. In caring for them avoid filling them with excess stuff and sun them from time to time to remove odor and moisture. Also it is important to consider the amount of pockets for cards and availability of a zipped pocket for coins when buying a wallet.

What's your poison

I usually write about men’s fashion and stuff around it, but I decided to wax a little philosophical due to a conversation I had with an old friend. It’s the type of conversation which some say is worth more than years of education. You know and its funny we had not seen or spoken to each other in almost eight years, and I had doubts, I thought all that time apart?, would we still be able to connect? Would we just spend one boring hour together trying to get along? But I guess what they say is real that time apart makes a loving heart grow fonder. The last time we were together we were boys now we had grown into men. We had to catch up on each others life from the time we last saw up till the present. We talked about our successes and failures, girlfriends we had over the years, parents, school, goals, dreams and aspiration.

Then we started to be a little more trusting of each other, talked about our fears after that it got a little bit deeper and we started to talk about things we had told very few people or no one at all.

He poured out all his garbage” poisons” and then it was my turn. At first I did not have anything to say because really on the surface I was almost perfect, nothing absurd or disturbing could be traced. But he was like, I had to have something, u know something I was not really proud of, he asked me to dig deep. I tried to dig deep like he wanted but I probably was not digging deep enough until he mouthed the words “what’s your poison?” that struck me! I began to recall all the stuff I did occasionally, more like habitually that I was not proud of, some people call them guilty pleasures, other’s sweet sins. Then it dawned on me that different people had different poisons, for some it was drug abuse, infidelity, promiscuity, covetousness, hatred, unforgiveness, regret and all sorts.

Then the most important part of the conversation came. He asked me how I was dealing with the poisons. I just shrugged and told him I had already agreed that it was a part of who I was. But he disagreed with me on the spot, he told me to keep fighting it no matter what, I countered him saying that I had been fighting with these poisons for the most part of my life and now I was just ready to accept and live with them. But he was able to convince me to try one last time and put all I have into it and I reluctantly agreed. On my way back home I thought a lot about what he said I found some truth in it. I don’t care how painful or how much things I would have to sacrifice to flush these poisons out of my life, but one thing’s for sure if I have to keep fighting till I draw my last breath I will.

So this is to everyone who’s dealing with whatever kinds of poison you are not alone, hang in there like a gallant soldier that you are. You either find a way or you make one (sic). But don’t stop trying to be better and do not accept anything you do not want in your life whether it be a habit or whatever kind of addiction. The truth in life is, almost everybody has one. And sometimes you just need the words of a true friend or someone who cares about you to see that you can deal with whatever’s bothering you . My advice to everyone is to be nice to everyone you can in any way and most off all do not forget old friends, they are the only ones we can afford to be as stupid as we want with, the only ones who love us for who we are and are not ashamed of who we’ve become.

D&G spring 09 collection

The D&G spring 09 collection was the hottest for me. It looked like they knew what they were doing, like they had done their homework properly. All the pieces portrayed the same theme not countering each other. All the outfits in this collection are totally wearable, every single piece. The finishing touches were that of a very creative mind. They totally distinguished themselves from the other collections.

Calvin Klein spring 09 collection

Zucchelli’s colors were of a bright hue. The color palette was mostly grey/white. Then the toned outfits even up to the footwear were very interesting.

Since his arrival at Calvin ‘Klein Zucchelli has focused on the finer aspects of tailoring. The suits usually had a slightly boxy appearance but have been tweaked a wee bit.

The overall collection was outstanding except for the Capri pants which I doubt would be ordered by major retailers.
