Love at First Sight: My Lazy Oaf Mickey Sweatshirt

Tuesday, April 10, 2012

So you know them tales of couples where one claims the moment they saw their partners they fell in love and knew they were the ones bla bla...i had that sort of emotion course through my 26 year old Nigerian veins. I was browsing through Lazy Oaf's website and saw this Mickey Sweatshirt priced down from £75 to £45 and knew i was gonna buy it , even if it meant me eating baked beans for a few days.

So i patiently waited all the while contemplating if it was a sensible purchase. I even went as far as going to Primark to find suitable alternatives but they were not all over print and certainly not as eclectic as this.  Finally summoned courage and went over to the Lazy Oaf Carnaby street store and whipped out my debit card, the rest is history.

Topman Denim Project Featuring Designs by Shaun Samson, Katie Eary, Oliver Spencer, Lou Dalton, Mark McNairy & Topman Design Available TODAY

Shaun Samson

Everything is right about the Shaun Samson denim jacket from the wash to the mesh detail at the back. The Mark McNairy and Topman design versions would've been nicer if their washes were lighter, giving it a sort of used feel. They look too new for my liking. My second favorite is the Lou Dalton piece...extremely gorg. Peep the full collection after the jump.

Hackett Presents - 1948 Sportswear

Saturday, March 31, 2012

Looking back to thehalcyon days when London last played host to the internationally renownedgames, Hackett London’s 1948 collection draws on the original sporting kit andreinvents the style to put it in a new, modern context. Using a very Britishregimental palette of red, navy and antique white, the story is a modern takeon classic sporting life which sees the Union Jack flag feature in variousguises, from jacket linings to breast pocket logos. Embracing a gentleman’sapproach to sportswear, Hackett reinforces its partnership with the LondonRowing Club and the iconic Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race with blazersembellished with embroidered crests highlighting that the 1948 collection hasbeen inspired as much by the style of the original spectators as it has by thesportsmen participating.

The FACE: Model Harry Uzoka Stripped Bare

Monday, March 26, 2012

Several models are known for the most prominent assets, some are called the body or legs lmao and some the FACE. Safe to say that London town boy Harry Uzoka fits into the 'Face' posse with his striking looks that possess the dual quality of appearing soft yet mature. Harry speaks to Men's FSA about modeling and his goals for the future.
What are your full names?

Haha not many people know this at all but Harry Osuya Ugochukwu Uzoka :)

Whats your ethnicity?

Nigerian

How were u scouted?

My brother used to model and took me in with him one day where my booker Simon Worgan saw me and signed me on the spot

What's your favorite thing about modeling?

Modelling itself I love trying all the clothes different poses and stuff .. Then seeing the final outcome soo much fun ..

What part of your body do you consider as your most valuable asset as regards your work?

My face I guess .. I don't think it's all that but others say its good that I can look really young and  soft but also strong and mature in pictures

What's your guiltiest pleasure?

Sweeetiesssss!! Lol I love sweets man but it's soo bad for me :(

What can't you live without and why?

My iPad .. It's ,y everything literally .. My Internet .. My tv .. My schedule .. Journey planner and twitter :p lol

Asides modeling what other creative stuff are you into?

I love football and wish I could play more but modellings all I have time for at the moment . Arsenals my team

If you could have one super power what would it be and why?

it would be to influence peoples thoughts by looking into their eyes and telepathically telling them what to think and do .. Why? To book every casting I go to haha

IF you could change one thing in the world, what would it be and why?

To give everyone a 100% positive and clear mindset .. There's soo much wasted talent due to people thinking there not good enough or because of obstacles they think they can't overcome ..i find that soo sad .. We can all achieve whatever we want to, nothing's impossible

This by far is my favorite photo ever taken of Harry so i thought to play around with it and put it through various filters, and it held its ground.
