I found out about Berluti shoes reading various blogs online. I don’t actually own one yet but later hopefully I’m gonna cop my own pair. I carried out my own personal research online about their history and craftsmanship and found out that Berluti was founded in 1895 by Alessandro Berluti, who had come to France to establish himself as a craftsman shoemaker.
Berluti grew and flourished under the successive guidance of various generations under the Berluti clan up to Olga Berluti who now runs the company. However LVMH fashion behemoth’s acquired the company with the objective of assuring global expansion-and of course, more revenue for LVMH- while preserving the soul of the business.As with all luxury products or most, one can be assured of buying quality that would last for years. In the same vein just because you are buying a luxurious item one should not overlook the aesthetic features of the product. Not all Berluti shoes are beautiful and some are insanely hideous, so do yourself a favour if you ever want to cop a pair, make sure it’s looks good!
P.S: Berluti shoes are not for the average Joe, a pair would fork you over a $500 at least all the way up to $3000 for others.
